Spinning – action and excitement

Image
Date: 25. July 2025 Author: Filip Bielarczyk Spinning Spinning is a more active way of fishing. I cast the lure and move it through the water to tempt predators like pike or perch. The constant movement keeps things exciting, and it’s perfect for fast-flowing rivers where fish are quick and aggressive.

Night fishing- quiet and peaceful

Date: 20. July 2025 Author: Filip Bielarczyk   Some fish, like catfish or eels, come alive after sunset. Night fishing has its own magic – the water is calm, the air cool, and everything feels more peaceful. I always bring a flashlight, warm clothes, and a stronger rod. Summer nights are my favourite time for this – clam, quiet, and often surprisingly productive. My favorite rivers: Narew and Orz

Image
Date: 5. June 2025 Author: Filip Bielarczyk Two rivers hold a special place in my fishing adventures: the wide, gentle Narew and the smaller, livelier Orz. 1. The Narew River  is broad and slow, offering many peaceful spots where the water hardly moves. I love fishing there at dawn or dusk, when the river seems half-asleep. Bream , roach, and pike are common catches. My favourite place is by a small bridge near my village. Sometimes I fish with a feeder rod  and groundbait ; other times I float fish  with corn  or worms . 2. The Orz River , by contrast, is narrow and fast-flowing. Its waters are clean and perfect for spinning . Perch  are my usual catch there, and I enjoy using small  lures like spinners  or soft rubber fish . The Orz is more playful, more dynamic – a river full of surprises. In summer, I plan to visit with friends. Even if we catch nothing, we will share sandwiches, laughter, and the simple joy of being outdoors. ...

Inside my tackle box

Date:   21. May 2025 Author: Filip Bielarczyk When I first began fishing, I had no idea what equipment I truly needed. Over time, I have put together a simple but reliable set of tools, which I think is perfect for beginners: 1.       Rod and reel – I use a medium spinning rod. It is light, easy to carry, and ideal for river fishing. The spinning reel is straightforward and perfect for learning. 2.       Fishing line – I usually fish with a 0.25 mm line. It is flexible yet strong enough for perch, pike, and even carp. 3.       Hooks and sinkers – I keep hooks of various sizes. Small ones work best for fish like roach or perch. I also carry small lead sinkers to help my bait sink to the right depth. 4.       Floats – A float is a fisherman’s eye in the water. I prefer small plastic floats – bright, simple, and very effective. 5.       Bait...
